Daily Bling - Thursday, July 29

Feather earrings are so hot right now, we are really surprised we haven't featured them yet as a Daily Bling! All the celebs have been wearing these shoulder grazing statement earrings, from Kesha to Kelly Benisimon. We think they make a chic edition to both the tradition boho look or with a sleek dress for a night out on the town!

The feather earring we decided to cover today are by Campise for Ron Herman and feature tradition Navajo coloring like white, orange, brown, and black. They would go with many of summer's brights and whites and transition nicely with Fall's neutral colors like camel, grey and black.

The Campise Feather Earrings are available at Ron Herman for $75.

Fall Collection Alert! Louboutin at Saks

Saks Fifth Avenue recently unveiled pieces from Christian Louboutin's, aka the god of all shoes, Fall collection. If the selection on Saks.com is any indication of the full Fall Collection then all we can say is WOW! I mean, chocolate brown, suede thigh-high boots? You don't get more sexy, luxe or aspirational than that.

Our favorite picks from the collection? The unique booties and "shoebooties," like these stunners below. I think its safe to say that the intricate-detailed bootie is the must-have shoe to add to your personal shoe wardrobe for Fall.

Daily Bling - Tuesday, July 27

We love jewelry designer Dana Lorenz! Her designs for both of her lines (Fenton and Fallon) are unique, current and totally lust-worthy. Today's Daily Bling from her Fallon line, called the Victoria Fair Isle Cuff, completely caught our eye at first glance and there is no real other reason why we decided to cover it as today's daily bling other then that we L-O-V-E it!

This oxidized brass cuff features studs, swarovski crystals and box chain details for a mix of feminine and edgy. It's pretty expensive at $232 but it's super unique and definitely an inspiration piece!

You can find Fallon jewelry, including the Victoria Fair Isle Cuff, at ShopBop.

Daily Bling - Monday, July 26

We've decided to feature a daily bling that had a vintage feel to start off the week. Why? To put it simply one of our absolutely fav. shows, Mad Men, began its 4th season last night and we couldn't be more inspired by its vibe. We love the early 1960s style of the always glamorous women from the show from Betty to Joan to even Peggy. We 10o% can picture these art-deco stunners for a night out on the town with Betty Draper herself, can't you?

When looking for a fab. vintage-inspired find, we look no further then Modcloth.com, one of the internet's most fun shopping sites for unique accessories and clothes! These earrings called "Dressed Up to Dazzle" are a real steal for only $20 and would make a gorgeous addition to a cocktail party look.

Weekend Bling - 7/24 - 7/25

One of my "simple pleasures" in life is enjoying a good magazine at the beach. Luckily, I got to do that this very weekend. Hamptons Magazine reminded me why Kara Ross is such a cool jewelry designer with a feature on exotic printed accessories and a gorg. pick of a turqoiuse Kara by Kara Ross cuff. Exotic leathers are hot for both summer and fall and we think this pink cuff by Kara Ross is just the ticket to transition you flawlessly from season to season. We could picture it with an all white ensemble now, as well as with an all camel (one of Fall's key colors) look come autumn.

What's better is this Kara by Kara Ross Cuff is currently seriously discounted from $415 to $166 at TheOutNet.com.

Daily Bling - Friday, July 23

We love those days when you get home from a long day of work, check your mail and find the lovely surprise of a new J. Crew catalog! Well, ladies, yesterday was one of those days! The August catalog arrived and among the gorg. new clothes and accessories (some must-haves for Fall for sure like the sequined skirts, boyf shirts and knee high boots) was two pages of gorgeous new jewels!

We feel like we have been waiting FOREVER for new jewelry styles from J. Crew and finally they are here! Among the beauties, we found this gorgeous ring, called the Crystal Trinity Ring. We think its the must have "bauble" statement ring for the season. We love the golden color of this "pale buff" gem, the unique three-stone style and could see ourselves wearing it from work to play, formal to informal.

This ring is available at J. Crew online and in select stores now for $45.

We love, love, love the new line of jewelry from model turned designer Erin Wasson called Low Luv x Erin Wasson. Why? Edgy yet chic, her pieces are the kind that "go with everything" and could easily be combined with other pieces in your jewelry wardrobe and worn over and over again. For example, we'd love to see this Moraccon style bracelet above layered with our Gorjana leather bracelet and lots and lots of of other gold, silver and gemstone jeweled bangles. But don't take this for simple jewelry. Wasson's designs are uber unique and oh so, effortlessly cool just like the model herself.

We are loving this line so much that we couldn't just feature one daily bling - we had to feature a few! The line is moderately priced with pieces running from about $40 - $80 and is now available at Shopbop.

Daily Bling - Monday, July 19

We are starting our week on an extra BRIGHT note with this fun, neon necklace from one of our favorite, yet often forgetten, retail destinations - Madewell. Madewell, if you didn't know, is owned by J. Crew and is sort of totted as its cooler, slightly trender, slightly more hipster little sister. We love Madewell's vintage yet modern sensibility and always love their jewelry selection because its unique, and unlike it's big sis, you probably won't find yourself coming and going in it.

We love a good neon and this desert sun necklace has just the right hint of that. We love the juxtapostion of the heavy metal chain, rhinestone chain and "acid green" beading - its hip and makes just the perfect amount of "statement" on a simple all black look.

The Desert Sun Necklace comes in a few other fun neon color combos and is $55 at Madewell.

Daily Bling - Thursday, July 15

I love bangles this summer. My motto? The more, the better! There is nothing more summery and easy to wear then today's daily bling bangle from one of our go-to favs. for cool jewels, Banana Republic.

I decided to stop by Banana on my way home from work today because I heard their mid-summer sale was excellent. I was pleasently surprised to find some of my FAVORITE pieces of summer jewelry seriously discounted! I scooped up a slightly different, slightly skinnier version of the bangle above for only $10. And today's bling isn't much more, it's only $15.

So run, don't walk, ladies if you love BR's jewelry selection as much as we do! Statement necklaces, cocktail rings, and chic bracelets and bangles are all on sale.

Au Revoir The Hills!

Series Finale Tonight At 10/9c

Last night was the series finale of The Hills, the beloved MTV reality show about 20-something "non-celebrities" and their real "non-scripted" lives living in the Hollywood Hills. Although in recent years, specifically since the departure of Lauren Conrad and demise of Speidi, I haven't been as interested in the show as I once had been, I became eerily sentimental of the end of this chapter in reality tv. See, it might sound silly but I sorta grew up with the Laguna Beach/The Hills franchise. Although, I was in college when Laguna started, The Hills began around the same time I graduated and since the girls all skipped the college experience (minus Lo of course) I could relate to that trying to find yourself, find a balance between being a real adult and young adult, career-woman and irreverent part girl, thing. You know, dealing with friend drama, boy drama, job drama etc. So this is why, perhaps, it makes me slightly sad that the series has ended. An end of an era in a way. Although we still have The City, the luster is just not the same, and the whole living in Manhattan thing and working in the beauty/fashion/PR industry hits a little too close for me personally...

That being said, I do think it was time for the series to come to close. The 'non-celebrity" cast needs to move on, find real jobs or new reality series and I think its fitting for a change. My one hope is that with the end of this we aren't introduced to yet another Jersey-related reality series to fill the void. I promise I am not knocking Jersey Shore in anyway, its just that Snooki and J-Woww are certainly enough.

I will miss, beyond relating to the whole "drama" thing, the awesome Cali-style fashion inspiration I have gotten from the show over the years. As a bit of my own tribute to this, I am using today's post to feature my favorite looks from the finale season of The Hills.

Stephanie Pratt's Fab Statement Necklace and Date Night Black Sweetheart Neck Mini-Dress
Stephanie heads out on her first date with Josh and the two immediately have something in common -- they don't drink.

Lo's Chic Hippie Blouse While Grocery Shopping Look
Lo and Stephanie go grocery shopping and talk about Audrina's odd behavior at Ryan's show.

Kristin's White Cut Out Dress while causing a scene at the Nylon Party Look
Kristin gets into a shouting match with Allie when she tries to stick up for McKaela.

The Always Rocker Chic Audrina in Sky High Boots
Kristin, Audrina, Stephanie, Holly and Lo meet up to discuss the future of their Spencer/Heidi relationships.
Cute and Cool During another Confrontation
Lo, Stephanie and Audrina confront Kristin about her partying habits, and share they've heard talk of her using drugs. Frustrated, Kristin blows the girls off.

What do you think about The Hills finale and surprise ending? What do you make of the whole "sound stage" scenario and perhaps most importantly who had your favorite look at the live finale last night?

The Daily Bling - Tuesday, July 13

We came across the NYC based designer, Flutter by Jill Golden recently and was reminded again why we love her designs so much via a Gilt Groupe sale this week. Although today's Daily Bling is not part of the sale, you should definitely head over there as many other gems from the line are seriously discounted.

Today's Bling the Sollar Tan Bracelet from the Mallorca Colletcion, is a gorgeous cornucopia of pastel and jeweltone gemstons strung together on a gold plated chain and Greek leather cord. Some of our favorite stones including citrine, blue topaz, amethyst, pink topaz and peridot are gorgeously woven together for a result that just may be one of the best bracelets we've seen in a while.

Flutter by Jill Golden at a variety of upscale boutiques and online. The Sollar Tan Bracelet retails for $150.

How I Wore It Weekend - The Long Island Wedding

This weekend I had the honor of attending one of my closest friend's wedding to her high school sweetheart ( and my bf's good friend). The wedding was held at the gorgeous Caryle on The Green, a country club on a golf course in Long Island, NY. The food was delish, band was hot, bride looked absolutely gorg. and good times were had by all! But you may be wondering, what did I wear? Here is my look breakdown:

Dress: Yeojin Bea Purple/Cream Colorblock Silk Cocktail Dress from Barney's New York
Jewelry: Aqua Statement Necklace, featured in Thursday's Daily Bling, layered J. Crew Gold Bangle Bracelets, and pearl drop earrings, borrowed from my mom
Bag: Lord & Taylor Gold Sequin Clutch (from my senior prom - over 8 years old!)
Shoes: Gold Aldo Strappy Sandals (about 4 years old and still hot!)

Daily Bling - Friday, July 9

Here at Booties, Bags and Baubles we LOVE a good sale! Right now ShopBop is having one of their biggest sales of the year with items up to 70% off. Among the sale we found some of our most favorite, most fab picks of the summer seriously discounted including today's Daily Bling by Kenneth Jay Lane.

It must be said that KJL has done some of his greatest work in the last two seasons. We have seriously been admiring the chic snakeskin jewelery in the collection including this Snake Print Pendant Necklace all season long. With the statement necklace being the big trend of the season, I think we have neglected to give props to the long pendant necklace look this year. We think if you are going to add another long necklace to your collection this year then you should do it here and now! This tribal/hippie chic piece is on sale for just $62 - a true steal for Kenneth Jay Lane!

Daily Bling - Thursday, July 8

Aqua Silver and Grey Beaded Link Necklace

Today's Daily Bling is brought to you by Bloomingdale's brilliant Aqua line and actually is something we purchased for a wedding this weekend and absolutely can't wait to wear. Although the version we purchased is gold with pearl detailing to match our overall look (pictures to come after the big event, we promise) this version, in polished silver with grey/lavender color beading was our favorite of the color combos.

We love the "dusty" vintage quality of the grey-lavendar beaded chain against the polished silver because in person it had this rich quality to it that made it look much more expensive than it is. It would make a beautiful edition to a chic grey sheath dress for the office or with some grey jean leggings and a white long tee for a more relaxed weekend look.

Lucky for you this daily bling is also on sale right now at Bloomingdales.com for $28.80. Gotta love those July deals!

Double Lust...The Hippie Edition

It's been quite a while that a shoe or a bag has come across our radar and was so lust-at-first-sight worthy that we felt the need to do a Shoe Lust or Bag Lust post. Shocking, no? Maybe its because we are in that "in-between" part of the year where we are getting a little sick of the Spring/Summer collections but not yet in the mood to think about Fall. Whatever the reason we are glad to say the "draught" has ended and we officially have both a BAG and SHOE lust this week.

Both styles we are loving have that California-cool, laid back mentality and tap into our inner hippie chic style. We especially love to embrace this style in the summer time and what better to be a mid-summer style pick me up then these two, we ask?

We love these Venus Fringe "moccasin" inspired sandals by Koolaburra in the chestnut shade featured above and think they'd look super cute with a pair of short denim shorts and tank ala Kristen Cavallari (who was seen wearing them just this way). They are laid back, fun and are the perfect summer sandal to take you into the Fall season. At $130 they are also not out of the budget range for a cute pair of memorable, scene-stealing shoes.

Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent Embroidered Folli Bag in Black
We love just about everything Cynthia Vincent has been doing lately and this Ikat inspired cross-body is no exception to that rule. We love mixing colbalt blue and black and think this bag has just the right amount of color and sass to make it a stand-out in the crowd yet wearable quality. We'd wear it with basically everything and just like the sandals think its the perfect Summer-to-Fall transition piece. Finally, and it has to be said, we just can't get enough of the cross-body style and if we buy any new bag soon a cross-body style will be it. At just under $200 we think it won't be a purchase you'll regret.

Both of these styles are available at the ultra chic boutique Singer-22.
