The Daily Bling - Wednesday, March 31st

We have a confession... we love the new 90210! Its probably one of our favorite teen dramas on the air right now (after Glee of course). We love all the girls' styles but we are especially a fan of Silver's! A litttle edgy, a little rocker, and still fem Silver flirts with the line between "alternative girl/popular girl" to a tee.

Today's Daily Bling is a little gem we spotted on Silver in the first half of the episode (can be sorta seen above). We headed over to CWTV.com's "Shop the Show" to find out what it was immediately. Unfortunately, we didn't spot the bracelet on the site but we did find out that Silver rocks a lot of Ben Amun and Alex and Chloe jewelry on the show. We did our best to find a bracelet that looks' like Silver's stunner and we think you will like, the American Retro Keith Bracelet, below.

Inspired by Silver's silver, the American Retro Keith Bracelet is alittle "menswear" in style with its large leather silver beading and croc-embossed leather band. It gives your look that little "hipster girl" edge that Silver pulls off so well. It's available at ShopBop.com and is at the very affordable price of $69.

The Daily Bling - Tuesday, March 30th

Padma Lakshmi - best known as Top Chef Host and Indian Beauty - debuted her new Spring 2010 jewelry collection this week at Bergdorf Goodman. Padma's line called "Padma" is inspired by her indian culture and western upbringing. The jewelry is delicate and gold in most cases and features beautiful gemstones in vibrant shades such as red, pink, green, and yellow.

Our favorite piece from her Spring Collection, and our daily bling today, is The Midnight Multi Gem Fringe Strand earrings.

We love how delicate and feminine the gemstones are on these stunners but how the earrings also really make a statement. We love the color combination of various cool tone pink, purple and blue gemstones. We love that the fringe goes 3 inches long - that's right 3 inches or gorgeousness in gemstones hanging from your ears. These are the perfect style to wear with long flowy hair look because they will still stand out OR with your hair pulled back in a pony if you really looking to make an impact.

These are definitly an "inspiration" piece for us because at $1,135 they just dont fit into our budget. Will be looking for a costume version soon to wear all summer long!

The Daily Bling - Monday, March 29th

We love Banana Republic's jewelry collection for its vintage appeal. I am constantly getting compliments on my BR statement necklaces and woven clasp bracelets from their Fall and Winter seasons. No one EVER thinks I got them at banana. Their new Spring Collection pieces are no different in their substantial quality and unique design.

Our favorite new piece is the Rain Shadow Bracelet. Its so sweet with its ribbon and lucite detailing but also a little edgy with its mixed metal and beaded woven strands. Its the perfect bracelet to wear with a neutral palette of beiges, blushes, and grays.

Banana Republic's Rain Shadow Bracelet is a no-brainer wardrobe-enhancer at only $39.

The Daily Bling - Sunday, March 28th

We finally got around to looking at the Saks Spring mailer this weekend (we were avoiding it as we were afraid we would want EVERYTHING in it and unfortunately this is pretty much the case). Of all the beautiful pieces we saw in the catalog the statement necklaces by Fiona Paxton stood out to us the most. They showed her heavy, embellished statement bib necklaces with all the looks in the catalog - the edgy, the feminine, the sleek, and the global.

We choose to feature the Fiona Paxton Draped Bib Necklace in Silver because we feel its the most wearable of the styles (although we are in love with the antique gold/coral version too). We love the lucite gems ands silver beaded detailing - its updated yet still has that "global chic" quality to it. It would work well with the edgier rock-star styles we are seeing or with a simple bandage dress for a more formal event.

Fiona Paxton's jewelry ain't cheap but we think everyone would be talking about your killer style if you invest in a piece like this. If you are looking for your "must have" piece of jewelry of the season, we don't think you'd regret grabbing this one. You can purchase today's bling for $400 at Saks Fifth Avenue online.

The Daily Bling - Saturday, March 27th

Nothing says statement ring like today's daily bling. The Ted Rossi Python and Chunky Jeweled ring is described as "adorned with large prong-set clear and amber crystals in different shapes atop a square ring with Python detailing. " Can we say hot?

This ring has a little bit of everything - a little bit of an edge, a little girly charm and a little sophistication. We love this look for a night out on the town with your friends with jeans and flowy jersey top.

We also love that the ring has adjustable sizing so you don't have to worry about picking a specific ring size or wanting to wear it on multiple fingers. (we could see this being worn on the ring, middle or pointer). It also makes getting this ring as a gift super easy!

You can scoop this Ted Rossi stunner at National Jean Company Online for $165.

Perfection in a Jumpsuit! Kelly Bensimon

O.M.G. you guys I am DYING over last night's episode of Real Housewives. And not because of the catfights but because of the fashion! The real highlight of the episode was not the crazy screaming match between Luann and Bethany as we thought it would be BUT was unassuming Kelly's gorg outfit at the Pamella Roland show. Take note of the hot look below. Not everyone can pull off a jumpsuit like Kelly can and she sure accessorized it to perfection.

Unfort. I can't find a full body image but as you can (sorta) see here, Kelly opted for bright colored accessorizes to make her silk grey jumpsuit pop. We loved the burnt orange pumps and layers and layers of sparkling and colorful enamel and gemstone bracelets. We also love how she embraced the big oversized silver hoops with that "70s/J.Lo" sort of inspired jumpsuit. She kept the neckace simple, which worked perfectly because of her statement bangles.

What do you guys think of her look?

Guys, we have a new obsession. Well something you should know about us first off is we have a SEVERE watch obsession. Our new fav. to add to the list?? The La Mer Collections Square Layer Gold Pyramid Stud Watch available for pick-up at Singer-22.

Never heard of La Mer Watches? We hadn't either. La Mer Collections’ focus is on classic watch faces designed exclusively by Martine Ilana, paired with beautiful leather straps. Their watches are globally inspired and retail from about $80 - 200. This little beauty which we are SERIOUSLY considering ordering, like now, is at the very reasonable price of $110. We will justify the purchase by telling ourselves we are not only getting a black watch (which we have been wanting) but we are also getting a really cool black studded leather wrap bracelet (which we also been wanting). You can't beat a two for one!!

Spring's Global Trend Accessorized

If you have been in to a store or read a magazine this Spring then you definitely have come across some bright colors, ethnic prints and global inspired styles. We are definitly feeling this "global trend" for Spring and absolutely love the idea of incorporating some of the fun patterns and bright color and beaded jewelry we have been seeing into our current Spring looks. How do you incorporate this trend without buying a bunch of printed dresses that most likely will be out next year? Well, with accessories of course! Why not embrace the global look by pairing a great printed tote or layered bright bangles with some of the "brighter" colored looks we bought last spring or just your favorite simple white or black jersey dress? We break down some fun global accessories ideas to instantly update your look this spring.

I'm still really into this rocker chic look (and I do apologize if you are bored of it). I couldnt resist featuring this totally rad cuff I found on Intermix Boutique's website last night. The leather chain cuff by Cecilia de Boucraft is 2 1/2 inches wide and features rows and rows of silver chains and "zipper" like detailing. Its got a two snap closure so its good for small or larger wrists.

We like the idea of pairing this "harder" looking piece with a feminine LBD and heels or ripped denim pants and a fluttery, flirty silk top. The juxtaposition of this rockin' bangle with a more girly outfit would look super chic.

And on a personal side note "bling" I wanted to dedicate today's post to one of my good friends and daily follower of this blog, Meri, for getting some of her own special bling this week! Congrats!

Rachel Zoe for QVC

Rachel Zoe to me is like a god of fashion. You can say what you want about her... she's too skinny, she's too crazy, she spends too much money but honestly NO ONE quite has style like Rachel does. She single handedly started the whole "boho chic" craze in America and transformed the careers and styles of some top celeb style icons like Nicole Richie, Mischa Barton and Anne Hathaway.

That being said I am so, so, sooo sad because I am a little less than impressed with her new line for QVC. She debuted some of her new Spring pieces and favorite regulars in the line yesterday on QVC and to be honest there was very little we were super tempted to pick up the phone and order in. There were a few "key pieces" however that we do love. Highlights below:
Rachel Zoe Large Flap Front Clutch with Chain Trim in Burnt Sienna/ $96
Rachel Zoe Pave Crystals & Cachoban Drop Earrings/ $64.50

Rachel Zoe Foldover Messenger Bag in Pewter/ $131

Rachel Zoe Geometric Link Bead Necklace/ $124.50

What do you think of Rachel's new collection? Head over to QVC.com to check it out and let us know. Super fab or super drab?

The Daily Bling - Wednesday, March 24

Guys, first off just have to apologize for my first bloggie boo boo - I didnt daily bling yesterday! I have been swamped at my day job and a bit jetlagged from my trip to LA and I just, well, didn't feel like it. No real excuses. It WONT happen again! (well i'm not making any promises...)

That said I'm excited to bring you Wednesday's Daily Bling - the Giles & Brother Enamel Snake Bracelet. I have been really obsessed with bangles lately, especially layering thick bangles with dressier outfits (like at work, or with a cocktail dress). We saw a huge bangle trend on the Oscars red carpets and the great news is there are a ton of fun ones to pick for Spring. I love this Giles & Brother's cuff because its alittle bit art deco and alittle bit Egyptian all rolled into one. The primary colors are a great addition to the otherwise common style of the scale detailed cuff and we also adore the pave crystal details. The cuff is gold-plated and features a box clasp closure - so it won't come off!

You can find this little hottie on ShopBop for $195.

The Daily Bling - Monday, March 22nd

So ladies (and gents if you are reading too), as you know we just got back from a trip to LA and let me tell you Los Angeles is a great city to go jewelry shopping. So many unique designs, so many places to shop for really edgy and fun looks. We fell in love with a gold studded ring that we saw at one of the boutiques on famed Robertson Blvd and can't get it out of our minds! After much scouring on the internet we can't find the exact piece but we did find this similar and FAB Stephan Webster Studded Gold Dome Ring and are really digging this look.

I'm really feeling the harder, rock star style right now (maybe I'm somehow being inspired by The Runaways movie?) and I love the idea of a studded ring as opposed to a gemstone one right about now. What I love about today's daily bling is its truly edgy without being scary or tough. It would make an awesome cocktail ring look or a piece you could wear everyday. Just a slight bit of "rock star" to add a little attitude to your look.

The Stephen Webster ring is $385 and can be ordered at Saks Fifth Avenue online.

The Daily Bling - Sunday, March 21

Today's bling is simple, pretty and cheap. Brought to you courtesy of Forever 21, The Pearlescent Galore Necklace would be a nice addition to spruce up any outfit. We love the classy look of layered pearls and at only $9.80 you can't really go wrong here. We think these would look really cute for work. Since we are back to reality tomorrow (meaning back to the office) we are trying to get ourselves in the mood to dress once again work-appropriate, sophisticate NY style as oppossed to rock-star influenced, beach-ready LA style (booo).

If you are in a more conservative office (thinking law firm, finance etc.) this necklace would really update a suit. If you are in sort of a business casual environment like myself, it would also look really cute with a high waisted mini-skirt and silk top.

You can pick up this easy to wear piece at Forever 21.

The Daily Bling - Saturday, March 20th

We are planning on having a laid back, fun and outdoorsy type of Saturday in Los Angeles after a super busy work week! Our favorite new "weekend" bracelet to match this mood is today's daily bling - Kris Nations Layer Bracelet XOXO Heart in Gold.

We love how this bracelet looks against our all gold Michael Kors watch. The woven details are laid back and a little boho but the gold charm and chain make its overall style just fancy enough to complement the gold watch look. We love the woven color combinations for Spring/Summer - brown, turquoise and coral. The xoxo heart charm makes the necklace look a little more substantial looking and probably more importantly a little more flirty too!

You can find this bracelet on Revolve Clothing for $80.

The Daily Bling - Friday, March 19th

I'm in an LA state of mind. And that being said, I bring you a daily bling from one of my fav. LA based lines designed by one of my fav. LA based celebs - Nicole Richie's House of Harlow 1960 line.

We have been hearing that "sideways" rings are very hot for Spring. (Note: We are defining sideways rings as those rings that have large charms that go left to right rather then straight up and down.) We have seen a few that actually have two ring holes - they are meant to wear on two fingers but are connected by a large sideaways gemstone or charm. The problem with these two finger rings is comfort - they just look TOO uncomfortable for us. We don't need to have our fingers connected and our hands tied down. Even for the name of fashion. If you want to get the "sideways" look of the two finger ring without the hassle, then you should def. check out the House of Harlow 1960 Key Cocktail Ring in Gold. It has a real antique feel which we love - it seems like a vintage Chanel piece! The oversized key is cool and very right now. It would be a great complement to a chiffon tunic and leggings look or boho chic maxi dress.

The House of Harlow 1960 Cocktail Ring is $55 and available here at Singer-22.

We love today's daily bling! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! What is it you ask? It's the Juicy Couture Drama Stone Butterfly necklace. And why do we love it? Well, let me tell you...

First, we love the turquoise, gold and black detailing. It makes it the the perfect statement necklace to start wearing now in early Spring with some of your transitional pieces, like a plain black jersey dress or with skinny jeans and a plain black tee-shirt. It also would like really chic in summer on a white tube dress for a summer night out or with a white blazer and some silk shorts for work.

Second, we love the crystal detailing - especially in the butterfly and dragonfly pieces on the sides of the necklace. It gives the necklace a vintage look - so unexpected for Juicy! It really takes the whole necklace to that next level.

And finally the light colored turquoise - so beautiful and feminine and sunny. Doesn't it just put you in a good mood?

The Juicy Couture Drama Stone Butterfly Necklace is $148 and available at ShopBop.com

RoseGold Marni Leather Pump in Cream

Remember those awesome Miu Miu Flesh-Tone caged pumps we were obessed with? Well we never actually purchased them (sad face) because we didnt feel like spending the $600 it would take to bring them home and they were sold out in our size. Well people, I know alot of you loved them as much as I did so this will come as some great news! Rosegold, a really fab yet slightly lower price point line, has almost the EXACT looking shoe in cream and black and at $158- a fraction of the price of the Miu Mius!! (don't you just LOVE a deal sometimes?)

Now lets take a look at the side-by-side. Sorry Miu Miu, my mind is made up I'm DEF getting these pumps!

Hey lovelies! I'm heading out to LA today for a trip for work so just want to worn you the next few days blog postings might be a little sporadic but I will be committing to bring you some daily bling every day, no worries!

In honor of LA, I bring you our very first HAIR BLING! I found the Deepa Gurnani Woven Crystal Headband on ShopBop and love the rhinestone detailing and hippie chic braided style. I could see some of our favorite boho starlets wearing this headpiece from Nicole Richie to Vanessa Hudgins to Sienna Miller. I love this look but I am not sure if I could really pull it off in NYC. Maybe with all black? I just don't know.

I'd love to purchase this headband just to wear on my trip but I am thinking that probably would be a waste. What do you think - could we pull this look off?? Or would we end up wearing it like a normal headband - maybe with a pulled back ponytail?? Now that's not a bad idea...

Check out Deepa Gurnani's beautiful head pieces at ShopBop.com.

The Daily Bling - Tuesday, March 16th

Remember those charmed hoops we loved on the "Countess" Luann Delesseps from NY Housewives? Well guess what - we finally found an AFFORDABLE alternative to the look from one our favorite new fashion/accessories lines Rachel Rachel Roy!

Today's Daily Bling, the Rachel Rachel Roy Bird Hoop Earrings, are sweet and funky at the same time. We love how the little birds perch on the hoop (how adorable!) and the little blue crystal details. These are really unexpected and I am just so happy to have found a charmed hoop that isn't over $100.

On to the dets. They are antique gold-tone and the hoop measures at just about 2 1/4 inches - the perf. oversized hoop size. We could totally see us wearing these all summer long with sundresses and studded sandals. And the best part - they are only $38!

I'm a little bit rock-n-roll...

Foley and Corinna Wrapped Chain Leather and Mesh Cross Body Bag

Guys, I am OBSESSED with this bag. I'm seriously dying over it and really, really, reallllly wish I had it for my trip to Los Angeles this week. I'm going to LA for work and I will be meeting some celebrity girl rockers while I am out there as part of what I'm doing for one of the brands I rep so I want to look a little edgy, but still me. I leave on Wednesday and I am having a real hard time finding the inspiration to pack and an inspiration piece to sort of shape everything I am going to bring. If only this bag was in my possession would I have all the answers...

You can find this Foley and Corinna gem at Bloomingdales and here are all its dets:
  • Single wrapped shoulder strap with tassel detail
  • Top-zip closure, gold-tone hardware
  • Lined. Leather. Imported
  • 10"W x 9"H x 1"D
  • 22" drop
I am so into this bag its not even funny. Its got everything I love and need. Its black, its got gold hard rockin' details, and it can be worn cross body which when you are running around like a crazy person for work, SERIOUSLY comes in handy. But its $325 - not too bad at all for a nice bag but more then we should be spending right now. And we do have so many bags. And we even have a black cross body bag! And alas we just don't need it....... Sigh.

What do you guys think of my new bag obsession? Is it worth it??

The Daily Bling - Monday, March 15th

Today's Daily Bling is a little necklace I checked out yesterday on a shopping trip to Bloomingdales. Bloomie's Aqua line has always had some fun and trendy fashion pieces and now they are adding jewelry to the mix.

Lucite is a huge trend for Spring in accessories. We are seeing it in jewelry mostly, but also in shoes as well (think clear jelly Stuart Weitzman sandals NOT clear heeled stripper shoes). I love mixing steel tones with lucite like in the necklace above because it gives the lucite look a little edge. I am going to wear this lucite statement necklace with a simple black tee and bandage skirt for an upcoming work event. Its a great piece to make a small investment on and transform your favorite go to look with!

Check out all of Aqua's lucite statement necklaces (there are A LOT of chic ones to choose from) at Bloomingdales.com.

The Daily Bling - Sunday, March 14th

Today's Daily Bling is dedicated to my fabulous best friends, whom I have been tight with since Junior High School and who also happen to share the same fervor for boy bands and cheesy pop music, as I do. On Friday night we were out celebrating our friend Dawn's birthday at a bar on the Lower East Side. My one friend and I kept requesting mid 90s music (Spice Girls, NSYNC, Britney Spears, etc.) much to the annoyance of the DJ. When I saw today's Bling on ModCloth I knew I had to cover it because of its fun, girly, vintage vibe and because of its name - the "Quit Playing Games With My Heart" Bracelet - you know after that Backstreet Boys song!

I've recently discovered ModCloth - its a vintage and indie designer website that has one of a kind finds in clothing, jewelry, accessories and even housewares. Its a really fun, affordable site with a lot of unexpected gems! It has a huge following among bloggers and social networkers, and I can see why. Its a very interactive site, almost written like a blog, that encourages consumer participation.

At only $15.99 the "Quit Playing Games with My Heart" Bracelet is sort of a no brainer. It def. has that vintage, one of a kind sort of feel and would look really cute with skinny jeans and maybe a black flowy tank top for a girls night out. I'd also like to see it paired with a cute romper or vintage bustier style dress - very Katy Perry.

Make sure to check out ModCloth for all their fabulous pieces! Warning: You may get hooked!

Best Accessorized, Namaste Style

My favorite non-shopping or fashion related activity is most definitly yoga these days. There is something about taking a yoga class that makes you feel balanced, fulfilled, active and accomplished.

That being said, yoga accessories have become sort of an obsession of mine (go figure, i always need to have the best gear) and my favorite yoga apparel line is most definitely Lululemon Athletica. Equal parts functional/comfortable and fashionable, I can't get enough of the clothing and accessories in this line. Its a bit expensive for yoga wear but..... I guess there always has to be a catch.

Here are some of my current fav's from the line. The cutest would be the tank but probably the most needed is the yoga mat. (mine is about 6 years old and has seen better days for sure). Which yoga related item do you think is worth the splurge?

I actually have this in black and am a little sad to just be finding this teal version now - who needs two yoga bags right??

I have this tank in a solid heather pink and wear it all the time! I love it even more in this multi-colored tie dye look.

These are more of an investment, but probably would get worn ALL the time. I love a cropped pant for yoga and these ones are both comfortable and flattering on most shapes.

Not needed, just cute and comes in a variety of different color combos with empowering messages. Hey its better then buying a bunch of Poland Springs right?

The Mat/ $68
What I really need, and would really like to get but can't seem to want to make the investment on....

Ohmmmmm,
H

The Daily Bling - Saturday, March 13th

Today we are back to our regularly scheduled Daily Bling. I had a lot of fun covering the Oscars trends but I am excited to be back to featuring more realistic options for your Daily Bling.

Today's bling is the Ann Taylor Faceted Dome Ring. At $48 its a far cry from the Cartier and Tiffany pieces we have been recently showing, but its just as classy if you ask me! I know we have been beating a dead horse about our favorite spring color, blush, but if you do take our advice and shape your Spring wardrobe around this updated neutral, you are going to need a go-to piece to round-out these looks. And this ring is just that!

Rose gold complements blush and flesh-tones beautifully but it can be hard to incorporate this metal into your wardrobe because you probably have mostly a yellow gold palette you are working with and sometimes when you mix these metals they sort of clash. We love this ring because the peachy/pink tone of the stone is set in yellow gold tone metal so its a good piece to marry both of these shades with. We also love the tiny pave crystals around the stone because it gives the ring a more dressed up, high end look!

You can purchase the Faceted Dome Pave Ring at Ann Taylor Online.

The Daily Bling - Oscar Edition Day 5

Kate Winslet is always the epitome of hollywood glamour and it was no different at this year's Oscars. Kate's YSL dress was featured in one of the trend colors of the evening - regal metallic champagne.

But the real reason we LOVED Kate's look? Her necklace!!! I scoured that red carpet and I am pretty certain that Kate was the only major celeb at the awards who sported a statement necklace which really surprised me given the bold statement necklaces and chocker trend we have been seeing in ready to wear. I was so happy to see Kate actually do something different and pull it off flawlessly!

Kate's jewels are by classic designer, Tiffany & Co. Her statement necklace seen above had an antique feel and was encrusted with what else but BLING! Custom made and featuring gorg. 10 carat weight total yellow diamonds, this Tiffany & Co stunner is estimated at $2.5 Mill. This piece is only fit to be worn by a true movie star and we couldn't think of a better women than last year's Oscar star, great Kate!

When In Rome... Do The Gladiator!

As I begin to check out all the Spring Accessories collections there is one trend that I am glad to see is still MAJORLY in style - gladiator sandals! I love gladiator sandals because they are super easy to wear and dress up summer sun dresses just as nice as many of their heeled counterparts do. I also think my inner hippie cannot resist the boho glam look of the gladiator sandal.

This year studded gladiators in black and our favorite hues of the season, blush and flesh-tones, are really hot. One of my absolute fav. affordable shoe lines Dolce Vita has a black studded gladiator that I am just so in love with that I know I am going to have to purchase. They are available on ShopBop (just click the link under the image above) but if you rather not purchase online Dolce Vita carries many of their styles at Macys. Some of my other fav studded gladiators for the season include:

To check out any of these studded gladiators just click on the links below the pics. And tell us - which is your fav? Should we invest in a black pair or a flesh-tone pair?
